K9 Dogalogue is a small dog-training business run by Ryan McKenzie in Meadow Springs, Western Australia. This page says plainly what happens to the details you give us, so you don't have to guess.
What we collect
- The assessment. Details about your dog and your answers about their behaviour, routine and history. You can complete the whole assessment and read your dog's snapshot without giving us any contact details. When the snapshot is generated, the answers and the snapshot are saved so we can see what dogs in the area need help with; they aren't connected to you unless you choose to send your details.
- If you send the intake for review: your name, your mobile and/or email, how and when you'd like to be contacted, and your suburb (so we know how far to travel). A photo of your dog is optional.
- If you become a client: session notes, training progress, vaccination evidence and the training agreement, which you can see in your owner portal.
- If you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us.
Why we collect it
To assess your dog, to contact you about a place in the program, to plan and record training, and to give you access to your owner portal. We don't sell or share your details for marketing, and we don't send newsletters.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and any photos you upload, and runs the bot check on our forms. Cloudflare may store data outside Australia.
- Resend delivers the email that tells us a new intake has arrived. That email contains your name and contact details.
- OpenAI is used to phrase the wording of your dog's snapshot. Only your dog's details, the assessment scores and the free-text answers you write about your dog are sent. Your name, contact details and suburb are never included, and any phone number or email typed into a free-text answer is removed before anything is sent.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Logging in to the owner portal or the trainer console sets a sign-in cookie for that login's lifetime and keeps a sign-in token in your browser for that tab; both are cleared when you log out. The bot check may set a cookie of its own.
While you fill in the assessment, your answers about your dog are saved in your own browser so a closed tab doesn't lose them. Your name, mobile, email and suburb are not part of that saved draft, and the draft is removed when you send the intake or restart it.
How long we keep it
Intakes and client records are kept while you're a prospective or current client, and for a reasonable period afterwards so a returning dog's history is available. Ask and we'll delete what we hold about you, unless we need to keep a record of a signed agreement.
